KeyEye has developed the lowest power 10GBASE-T technology that fully complies with the short reach provisions of the IEEE 802.3an Ethernet standard. KeyEye has leveraged years of high-performance transceiver experience, high fidelity precision mixed signal technology and proprietary signal processing algorithms to develop an optimized single chip solution for the short reach provision. This results in breakthrough power and cost metrics for that are less than ½ of first generation 10GBASE-T approaches.
The critical challenge for 10GBASE-T copper-media transceivers is to achieve three critical requirements:
Overcome six traditional technical obstacles in high-bandwidth communications with sufficient margin to allow robust volume production.
Reduce power consumption to:
Achieve a solution cost low enough to dramatically reduce the per-port cost of 10G Ethernet switches and adapter cards to enable data center managers to cost-effectively scale their network equipment to meet their expanding high performance 10G needs.
KeyEye Communication's optimized 10GBASE-T technology addresses all three of these requirements. It relies on standard high-volume CMOS process technology for both the analog and digital aspects of the design. This breakthough single-chip technology is the foundation of our upcoming 10GBASE-T copper-media transceiver family.
